Congratulations!!! You made it to the last part of the home organization series!!! Note if you are reading this out of order; go back to the first post in this series and work your way through.
This post is about maintaining an organized home. Think about a car. If you don’t give your vehicle routine maintenance and up keep; it won’t run well and will eventually break down. The same goes with keeping your home organized.
Don’t you and your family ( if applicable) deserve a home that runs efficiently and effectively? Here are some home organization tips for maintaining your hard work.
Remember to Reward Yourself
Reward yourself for a job well done, if you haven’t already. This positive conditioning method helps to get and keep the momentum going for any goal that you are in pursuit of achieving. When it comes to the maintaining organization, go out and reward yourself once a week or month. This is also a great motivation for the family and children to participate in keeping the home clutter free organized.
Kill the Clutter Before it Kills You
If a task takes less than two minutes to complete, do it immediately. Putting things aside to do later only contributes to the disorganization. When you receive mail, sort through immediately. The junk mail toss it. The other mail file it appropriately. You’ve come this far. Do you want all of your hard work to go down the toilet?
Create a Daily Tidy Time
Designate a time in the evening, preferably after dinner and before bed, to tidy up. If you have a family get them involved. When the family gets involved in cleaning up, you’ve just worked smarter not harder. This gives you more time to focus on things that truly matter.
These are just a couple of home organization tips to keep home free of clutter and organized. Keep it up and in no time your home will run like a well oiled machine.
